Mosby's NCLEX-RN Comprehensive Review of Nursing Interactive CD-ROM
Formats: Mac and Win CD-ROMS

Below find a list of commonly reported technical problems with this product paired with immediate solutions.

Known Issues:
  1. The computer freezes when I start the program and leaves a black box on my screen or says I performed an illegal operation or caused a fatal error.
    --Solution:
    • Click on Start, Find, Files or Folders.
    • In Named: type qtw.ini In Lookin: be sure it says C: (it needs to look in your harddrive). Then click on Find Now.
    • It should find at least one file. If it finds more than one file, we need to keep the file that is located in the folder C:\Windows. If there is more than one file, delete the other ones.
    • Double-click on the file that it finds (the one in C:\Windows) and it will open a note pad.
    • Inside the note pad, it may read Optimize=hardware or Optimize=driver, if it does, you need to delete the word hardware or driver, and replace it with bmp.
    • If this line does not appear, we need to insert it. Under the text, Video component…, insert a hard return and type the following text: Optimize=bmp.
    • Click on File, Save and then File, Exit.
    • Now start the program.
