Works with publishing director(s) and publishers to develop and review budgets, forecasts, and new product pro formas. Reviews monthly profit and loss reports, identifies variances and analyzes them to find problems such as slippage, individual title volume shortfalls, specific channel or market weaknesses, etc. Assists as requested in the development and implementation of Medicine Strategic Business and Publishing plans by familiarizing her/himself with the products of the division and their sales, costs, and expense budgets. Support VP Finance in preparation of Annual Budgets and Five-Year Plans. Qualifications: BA or BS required, MBA or CPA preferable. Thorough knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word. Excellent communication skills.
