Performs all functions necessary to obtain, prepare and release manuscript and art to production on assigned titles. Guides authors in technical manuscript preparation, logs chapters, reviews chapters for acceptability. Responsible for meeting manuscript turnover dates and publishing schedules for texts and electronic products. Works closely with project manager and with the editorial staff to ensure that the requirements are met. Superior written and verbal communication skills necessary. Qualifications: College degree in English or Biological Science background preferred. Previous publishing experience in preparing manuscripts for production strongly preferred.
